It exhibited the phenomenon of a considerable rising of the rear of the vehicle at the time of the collision. There was relatively small deformation of the body front. In the occupant compartment, there were relatively small deformations in the footwell area around both the driver's and the front passenger's side. A relatively large deformation extended to the door frame (right side sill) and for this reason it is estimated that it had an affect on opening of the front door. It is estimated that the reason for a B evaluation being given to the front passenger's side is, since the driver's side is an A, the energy could not be efficiently absorbed by restraint systems as seat belts and air bag on the front passenger's side. |
