The dummy's position in relation to the steering wheel and instrument panel after the crash test indicates that the driver's survival space was maintained wellSmeared greasepaint indicates where the dummy's head hit the roof rail and B-pillar during rebound. Head accelerations from these hits were low
Forces on the lower right leg were high enough to indicate the possibility of injuries

ЛОБОВОЙ УДАР СО СМЕЩЕНИЕМ

The Chevrolet HHR was introduced in the 2006 model year. Front and rear head curtain side airbags became standard beginning with 2009 models (they had been optional in 2006-08 models).

Restraints/dummy kinematics

Dummy movement was well controlled. During rebound, the dummy's head hit the roof rail and B-pillar.

Injury measures

Measures taken from the head, neck, and chest indicate low risk of injuries to these body regions in a crash of this severity. Forces on the right tibia indicate that injuries to the lower leg would be possible. Head accelerations from the roof rail and B-pillar hits were low.

БОКОВОЙ УДАР

Injury measures

Driver — Measures taken from the dummy indicate that rib fractures and a fracture of the pelvis would be possible in a crash of this severity. In addition, loading to the shoulder was excessive.
Rear passenger — Measures taken from the dummy indicate that rib fractures would be possible in a crash of this severity.

Head protection

Driver — The dummy’s head was protected from being hit by any hard structures, including the intruding barrier, by a side curtain airbag that deployed from the roof.
Rear passenger — The dummy’s head was protected from being hit by any hard structures, including the intruding barrier, by a side curtain airbag that deployed from the roof.
